The Account Executive will provide leadership, counsel and direction to the client associations they serve. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist the Senior Account Executive in executing all decisions made by the board
  • Assure that the board, executive committee and appropriate committee chairs are kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the association, and on all important factors influencing the organization
  • Plan, formulate and recommend for the approval of the board, policies and programs which will further the objectives of the association
  • Develop for the purpose of day-to-day administration specific policies, procedures, and programs to support and implement the policies established by the board
  • Assist Senior Account Executive in promoting interest and active participation in the association’s activities on the part of the membership and committees, and reports on activities to the board as appropriate
  • Provide business management of the associations’ publications, including journals, newsletters, brochures and directories
  • Assist Senior Account Executive in developing and implementing educational programs in conjunction with the associations’ committees to advance the professional, technical and managerial skills of the membership, operating within the budget and program objectives developed and approved by the board
  • Assist Senior Account Executive in planning and organizing membership promotion and retention programs, evaluating results and recommending policies, procedures and actions to achieve membership goals
  • Produce short videos promoting association activities for use on social media platforms
  • Plan and execute all communications to the general membership, including such items as newsletters, general mailings, ballots and surveys
  • Maintain continuous communication with the board, committees and members regarding association activities and projects
  • Provide the necessary liaison and staff support to committee chairs and committees to enable them to effectively perform their function
  • Demonstrate initiative and eagerness to learn about the industry or profession and the issues of concern to members
  • Understand and consistently meet or exceed deadlines
  • Seek to continually upgrade skills and knowledge for the effective management of the association with the purpose of someday taking over all board level responsibilities.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-4 years experience in non-profit management, education and/or certification program/project coordination and/or business management
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing procedures, methods or processes
  • Experience with filming, editing and posting short videos for social media
  • Solid PC experience with Windows operating system and a variety of software programs (Microsoft Office Suite, including database management experience)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including social media
  • Strong proficiency in time management and organizational skills (multiple concurrent tasks)
  • High level of detail orientation
  • Some travel required
